What Does the Fellowship Entail?

As a year-long journey, the JLYL program immerses fellows in community organizing and civic engagement. You’ll not just learn but actively engage in human rights work via a capstone project, impacting both your campus and local communities.

What is a Capstone Project?

As a core element, the capstone project provides a hands-on experience in grassroots organizing. You’ll collaborate with campus or community organizations on sustainable initiatives, backed by up to $1000 funding from RFK Human Rights and their continuous support.

  • Undergraduate Enrollment: Open to students in 2- or 4-year accredited programs in the U.S.

  • Full-Time Availability: The program spans 10 months of immersive participation.
