About the Scholarship

In memory of Professor John Willett—the founding Vice Chancellor of Griffith University and a pioneer of management education in Asia—this scholarship was created to empower exceptional students from select Asian countries who are passionate about contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Scholarship Value and Duration

  • Award: 50% Tuition Fee Waiver
  • Duration: Up to 2 years
  • Program: Master of Global Development at the Griffith Business School
  • Start: Trimester 1, 2026

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a citizen of one of the following countries:
    Malaysia, Bhutan, Vietnam, China, Nepal, Maldives, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Mongolia, Pakistan, India, Laos, Bangladesh, Thailand, Philippines.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 4.0/7.0 (or equivalent) in previous academic studies.
  • Be a new student applying to the Master of Global Development.
  • Fulfill all academic and English language entry requirements.
  • Be commencing full-time study in Trimester 1, 2026.
  • Be an international fee-paying student.
