The Kenneth Denbigh Scholarship is a prestigious opportunity for students commencing their MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering for the 2024-2025 academic year. Offered by the University of Edinburgh’s School of Engineering within the Science and Engineering Department’s Chemical Engineering/Chemistry Department, this scholarship is designed to support and encourage exceptional students by providing financial assistance and promoting active participation in the academic community.

Award Details

Five scholarships, each valued at £1000, are available for the upcoming academic year. These awards are intended to ease financial burdens and are disbursed as a stipend in October/November 2024 by the School of Engineering. The scholarship is tenable for one academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship is open to applicants of any nationality who meet the following criteria:

  • Acceptance for full-time admission into the MSc Advanced Chemical Engineering program within the School of Engineering for the 2024-2025 academic year.
  • Demonstrated academic merit and potential benefits to the student.
  • Possession of, or expectation to obtain, the international equivalent of a UK first-class or 2:1 Honours degree at the undergraduate level.

Steps to Apply:

Eligible applicants must complete an online scholarship application by 23:59 BST on 4th July 2024. To apply for the scholarship, students need to have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh as following:

  1. Apply for Admission: Ensure you have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. After submitting your application here (https://www.ed.ac.uk/student-funding/postgraduate/international/science-engineering/school-of-engineering/denbigh), it may take up to five working days for system checks to be completed.
  2. Access the Scholarship Application System: Once your admission application is processed, you can access the scholarship application form through EUCLID via the MyEd information portal at MyEd Portal (https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk/).
  3. Complete the Application: Log in to MyEd using your University User Name and password. For assistance, visit Student Systems Support (http://www.ed.ac.uk/student-systems/support-guidance).

Application Deadline: Ensure your scholarship application is submitted by 23:59 BST on 4th July 2024. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their scholarship application by the end of August 2024.
