The Centre for European Studies (CES) at Carleton University, in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), Foundation Office Canada, invites applications for the prestigious Konrad Adenauer Visiting Scholarship on Transatlantic Relations for the Fall 2025 term. This scholarship offers a four-month scholar-in-residence position at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, from September to December 2025.
Benefits
The selected scholar will receive the following:
- Stipend: To cover travel and accommodation expenses, along with a teaching fee.
- Teaching Opportunity: Teach one MA-level seminar on a transatlantic relations topic at the Institute of European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies (EURUS).
- Research Presentation: Deliver a lecture on their research at a public event co-hosted by KAS.
- Professional Networking: Engage in research activities, policy consultations, guest lectures at other institutions, and collaborations facilitated by CES.
- Logistical Support: Assistance in securing accommodation and managing the logistics of the stay in Ottawa.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Political Science, Law, Economics).
- Demonstrate expertise and research in transatlantic relations.
- Have a strong record of publications and university teaching experience.
