LAB University of Applied Sciences Opens January 2026 Scholarships & Early Bird Discounts

Are you dreaming of studying in Finland—the land of innovation, sustainability, and world-class education? Here’s your golden chance! LAB University of Applied Sciences has officially opened applications for the January 2026 intake for international students. This opportunity comes with scholarships, early-bird tuition discounts, and the pathway to secure your Finnish residence permit on time.

Tuition Fees for January 2026 Intake

For students from non-EU/EEA countries:

  • Bachelor’s Programs: €8,000 per academic year
  • Master’s Programs: €9,000 per academic year

But here’s the twist—you don’t have to pay the full fee if you act fast!

Early Bird Discount – Save Big!

Secure your place quickly, pay within three weeks of admission, and grab a 20% discount:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: €6,400 (instead of €8,000)
  • Master’s Degree: €7,200 (instead of €9,000)

Miss the deadline? You’ll have to pay the full tuition fee. So the earlier, the better—not just for savings, but also to fast-track your student residence permit process.

Scholarship Opportunity

While the first academic year doesn’t include automatic scholarships, LAB University of Applied Sciences offers a 50% tuition reduction from the second year onwards if you meet the required study credits:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: 60 ECTS each year (progression to 180 ECTS by Year 3)
  • Master’s Degree: 20 ECTS after the first year, 40 ECTS by the second year

That means if you stay consistent, you’ll cut your costs in half for the remainder of your studies!

Residence Permit & Financial Proof

To secure your residence permit in Finland, you must:

  • Pay your tuition fee in advance.
  • Show proof of €9,600 in living funds (€800/month).
  • Have valid health insurance covering at least one year.

Remember, without these, your residence permit application can be rejected. Early payment = faster visa = smoother journey to Finland.

Tuition Fee Exemptions

If you hold any of these, you’re exempt from tuition fees:

  • EU/EEA or Swiss citizenship.
  • Finnish Permanent (Type P) or Continuous Residence Permit (Type A) (not for study).
  • EU Blue Card, EU long-term residence permit, or valid EU family member card.

Why Choose LAB University of Applied Sciences?

  • Affordable compared to other European study destinations.
  • Located in Finland—one of the safest and most innovative countries in the world.
  • Early bird policy lets you save thousands on tuition.
  • Scholarships reward consistent academic performance.
