Eligibility Required for DUT-Liaoning Provincial Gov Scholarship
To be considered for the DUT-Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship 2025-2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
- Academic Background: Must hold a master’s degree recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education and be under 40 years old.
- Legal and Ethical Standards: Must adhere to the laws and regulations of China and the rules of DUT.
- Academic Performance: Must demonstrate excellent academic records and be recommended by two professors.
- Other Scholarships: Applicants must not be receiving any other scholarships from the Chinese government.
Required Application Materials

- Highest Diploma (Notarized): University students should provide a current study certificate. Documents in other languages must be translated and notarized in Chinese or English.
- Academic Transcripts: Transcripts from the undergraduate level and beyond, sealed and issued by the relevant university department. Non-Chinese/English transcripts must be translated and notarized.
- Study Plan (1,000+ words): Must detail the intended research field and be signed by DUT supervisors.
- Two Recommendation Letters: From professors or associate professors at the applicant’s previous university, in Chinese or English.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form: Ensure all required sections are completed, including the cross-page stamp and physician’s signature.
- Blood Test Report: Must include results for HIV, Syphilis/V.D.R.L, HbsAg, and HCV.
- Passport Copy: Provide the photo page and one blank visa page (passport should be valid until at least September 2025).
- Language Proficiency Certificate:
- Chinese-Taught Programs: HSK Level 4 (score of 180) for science and engineering; HSK Level 5 (score of 180) for humanities and foreign languages.
- English-Taught Programs: TOEFL (80 or above), IELTS (5.5 or higher), or proof of prior English instruction.
- Certificate of No-Criminal Conviction: Valid for six months. If unavailable at the time of application, a temporary substitute form can be signed.
- Additional Materials:
- Acceptance Letter from DUT Supervisor (optional).
- Employment certificate (for currently employed applicants).
- Copy of current X1/X2 visa (for applicants already in China).
- One 3cm x 4cm photo.
