Foreign students planning a short-term academic or research exchange in Thailand should take note: Mahasarakham University has officially opened applications for the MSU Inbound Scholarship 2026, a funded opportunity designed to welcome international undergraduate and graduate students for exchange, research, or training programs in Thailand.

This inbound mobility scholarship supports 30-day to one-semester stays at Mahasarakham University and aims to strengthen international academic collaboration, research output, and multicultural learning. A total of 20 international students will be selected for the 2026 cycle.


What the MSU Inbound Scholarship 2026 Offers?

Selected international students will receive monthly living support during their stay in Thailand:

  • 5,000 THB per month for students accommodated in on-campus housing arranged by the university
  • 9,000 THB per month for students living off-campus when university housing is unavailable

This funding is intended to offset daily living expenses while students focus on academic exchange, research, or training activities at MSU.


Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following basic criteria:

  • Be an international undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled at a recognized higher education institution
  • Demonstrate sufficient English (or other required language) proficiency as approved by the MSU academic advisor
  • Be able to self-finance any costs not covered by the scholarship
  • Hold valid health and accident insurance covering the full stay in Thailand

  • Completed MSU Inbound Scholarship Application Form
  • Academic transcript or proof of education
  • Statement of Purpose (in English) outlining exchange, internship, or research objectives
  • Research experience or proposal (if applicable, especially for research-focused stays)
  • Letter of Acceptance from a host faculty or unit at Mahasarakham University
  • Proof of health and accident insurance (can be submitted after selection)

The application process for the MSU Inbound Scholarship 2026 at Mahasarakham University runs from 1 January to 31 January 2026, during which international undergraduate and graduate students must submit their complete application documents to the relevant host faculty or unit at the university. Mahasarakham University will announce the list of eligible applicants in February 2026, followed by the official announcement of selected MSU Inbound Scholarship recipients later in February 2026.
