Manufacturing Scholarships 2026 at Alabama Community College System

The Alabama Community College System (ACCS), in collaboration with the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA), has announced a major scholarship initiative to support the next generation of skilled professionals in the state’s thriving automotive sector. Through this partnership, $400,000 in scholarships are being made available for Alabama residents pursuing technical careers in automotive manufacturing and related fields.

Overview of the Scholarship Program

The program reflects Alabama’s growing reputation as a key hub for automotive innovation and manufacturing. With top global carmakers like Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Hyundai, and Toyota operating across the state, there is an increasing need for a qualified workforce equipped with the right technical expertise.

Each scholarship is capped at $4,000 and will help cover tuition, books, and fees for eligible programs at participating Alabama community colleges. Students can apply these funds toward their Spring, Summer, or Fall 2026 semesters, offering flexibility to suit their academic calendars.

Eligible Study Programs

Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following approved technical programs:

  • Mechatronics
  • Advanced Manufacturing Technology
  • Automated Manufacturing Technology
  • Industrial Electronics Technology
  • Industrial Maintenance Technology
  • Manufacturing Technology
  • Machining / Machine Tool / CNC Technology
  • Automotive Service Technology
  • Robotic Welding Technology
  • Engineering Technology

These fields align with Alabama’s major industry needs, ensuring that scholarship recipients graduate with employable skills directly applicable to the state’s growing automotive production network.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be residents of Alabama;
  • Be enrolled in an eligible program at an Alabama community college;
  • Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA;
  • Submit a complete online application through the Dream It. Do It. website.

It’s important to note that dually enrolled high school students are not eligible for this scholarship program.

Application Timeline

Applications for the AAMA–ACCS Automotive Manufacturing Scholarships 2026 are now open.
The deadline to apply is Friday, November 7, 2025. Successful candidates will receive financial support to continue or complete their studies in 2026 and strengthen Alabama’s high-demand automotive workforce.
