Master in Middle Eastern Studies Scholarship 2026 at Milan Graduate School ASERI

Milan’s Graduate School ASERI has announced that applications are now open for the Master in Middle Eastern Studies (MIMES) for the academic year 2025/26. Running from January to December 2026, the program is designed for graduates and professionals from around the world eager to gain a deeper understanding of the Middle East’s history, culture, politics, and contemporary geopolitical challenges. The course blends in-person classes, project work, and a three-month internship in Milan, offering a hands-on and globally relevant learning experience.


Funding Package

The MIMES scholarship is valued at €12,000 and provides full coverage of tuition fees. Additionally, it offers partial support for travel and accommodation expenses in Italy, making it an attractive opportunity for international and domestic candidates.


Short Eligibility Criteria

The program welcomes:

  • Young graduates from any discipline with a strong interest in Middle Eastern affairs.
  • Professionals seeking to deepen their expertise on the Middle East for career advancement.
  • Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and demonstrate proficiency in English, as the program is entirely taught in English.

MIMES offers a multidisciplinary perspective covering the Middle East’s cultural, political, economic, and financial dimensions, as well as its complex regional dynamics. With 65 ECTS credits awarded upon completion, graduates can pursue careers in research centres, think tanks, NGOs, international organizations, regulatory bodies, and the private sector.

Applications open on March 11, 2025. The last date to apply for the Master in Middle Eastern Studies (MIMES) for international candidates is 29 October 2025, while Italian candidates have until 23 November 2025 to submit their application
