The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana offers comprehensive scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year. This program targets academically talented yet economically disadvantaged young people from Ghana and other African countries.
Key Details
- Eligibility: Applicants must have a valid WASSCE, GBCE, ABCE, GCE O’Level & A’Level, or equivalent results and meet KNUST’s admission requirements. Candidates must demonstrate critical economic needs, have a record of leadership and community engagement, and must not be enrolled in any tertiary institution at the time of application.
- Priority Groups: Females, displaced persons (e.g., certified refugees), and persons with disabilities are given priority.
- Benefits: The scholarship covers full tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and comprehensive medical insurance. Scholars receive laptops, participate in leadership congresses, and get internship opportunities to enhance their professional development.
