Funding and Support
Admission to a Max Planck School includes full funding for up to five years, allowing students to focus solely on their research. During the first phase of the program, students who typically join with a Bachelor’s degree will receive an attractive scholarship and support for health insurance and other material costs. Upon successful completion of the first phase, students transition to a contract based on Germany’s Wage Agreement for Public Service (TVöD/TV-L, E 13) for the second phase.
