The Merian Centre for Advanced Studies in the Maghreb (MECAM) at Université de Tunis, in collaboration with Forum Transregionale Studien and top-tier institutions like Philipps-Universität Marburg, Universität Leipzig, and the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA), has announced its prestigious MECAM Fellowships 2025-2026.
This opportunity invites six postdoctoral and three advanced researchers to immerse themselves in an eight-month, fully funded research residency in Tunis, Tunisia, from September 2025 to April 2026.
With the overarching theme “Imagining Futures: Dealing with Disparity”, fellows will conduct research within one or more of MECAM’s five Interdisciplinary Research Fields (IRFs):
