MTSU Freshman Scholarships 2025-2026: Up to $6,000/Year for First-Time Students

Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is calling on first-time incoming freshmen from across the U.S. to apply for its generous Freshman Guaranteed Scholarships for the Fall 2025–Spring 2026 academic year. These awards, based on academic merit, provide up to $6,000 per year for eligible students, and can be renewed for up to eight (8) semesters.


Who’s Eligible?

Students who are:

  • U.S. citizens or permanent residents
  • First-time incoming freshmen enrolling in Summer or Fall 2025
  • Meeting the GPA and ACT/SAT test score benchmarks (listed below)

These scholarships are automatically considered for eligible applicants—no separate scholarship application is required!


Scholarship Award Levels for Fall 2025 Applicants

Scholarship ACT Score GPA Requirement Award Amount (Per Year)
Century Scholarship 34 – 36 3.50+ $6,000
Lightning Scholarship 30 – 33 3.50+ $3,000
Blue Raider Scholarship 25 – 29 3.50+ $2,500
Future Alumni Scholarship 22 – 24 3.50+ $1,500

SAT Equivalent Scores (Post-2016 Format):

  • 22–24 ACT = 1100–1190 SAT
  • 25–29 ACT = 1200–1350 SAT
  • 30–33 ACT = 1360–1480 SAT
  • 34–36 ACT = 1490–1600 SAT.
