The University of Szeged has officially opened applications for the National Higher Education Scholarship 2025–26, a prestigious financial award for high-achieving students enrolled in full-time degree programs. This scholarship is governed under Act CCIV of 2011 on National Higher Education (ANHE) and Government Decree 51/2007, and offers an incredible opportunity for academically outstanding and professionally driven students to receive national-level recognition and monthly funding.
Scholarship Value & Duration
- Amount: HUF 40,000 per month
- Duration: 10 months (full academic year 2025–2026)
This financial support is designed to reward academic excellence, professional achievements, and community involvement.
Who Can Apply?
The scholarship is open to students who meet the following conditions:
- Enrolled in full-time Bachelor’s, Master’s, or undivided programs (state-funded or fee-paying)
- Have completed at least two (02) semesters of higher education
- Earned a minimum of 55 credits
- Demonstrated outstanding academic performance or professional work.
Students transitioning into a new degree (degree-changing students) and continuing their education in the following semester are also eligible.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one or more of the following:
A) Academic Excellence – Achieve at least 90% of the top academic performance expected at their faculty.
B) Professional Contribution – Proven records of scientific/artistic work, conference participation, demonstrator activities, publications, or research.
C) Social and Extracurricular Involvement – Active participation in university life, including sports, public activities, or community service. These may contribute up to 10% in the final evaluation.
