New Zealand Work Visa Types Live on New Immigration Portal Starting May 2025

Immigration New Zealand has rolled out its revamped official website, and with it comes a more user-friendly way to explore working visa options for international applicants. Whether you’re a skilled professional, entrepreneur, student graduate, or just looking for a short-term working holiday — there’s something for everyone under the new structure.

Work Visas in New Zealand — What’s New?

The updated website organizes working visa options under the “Mahi” (Work) tab and categorizes them for easier navigation. All work visas are temporary — but many can lead to permanent residency, depending on your qualifications and job role.
