What is the NOMIS-ISTA Fellowship?
The NOMIS-ISTA Fellowship allows postdoctoral researchers to propose and carry out a research project that connects two or more scientific disciplines. Each project must be co-supervised by two group leaders from different fields at ISTA (or an external mentor if needed). This fellowship is all about encouraging creativity, flexibility, and collaboration.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible:
- Applicants must have earned their PhD by the time of recruitment (within 8 months of the deadline) and preferably already have postdoctoral or interdisciplinary experience.
- Exceptional candidates without postdoc experience may also be considered.
- Applicants must not have worked at ISTA before June 13, 2024.
- If selected, the fellowship must start within six months of being notified.
- Shortlisted candidates must be available for a remote interview 8–10 weeks after the application deadline.
