NSHSS Scholarship Award Details
The NSHSS Nobel Good Earth Sustainability Scholarship offers five (5) awards of $2,000 each. These awards are intended to help students further their education and continue their efforts in promoting sustainability and protecting the environment.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be NSHSS members who are currently in high school or college. They should have a demonstrated passion for conservation, sustainability, environmental policy, or preservation of the Earth. This scholarship is open to students at all academic levels within the NSHSS community.
Application Requirements
The application process for the NSHSS Nobel Good Earth Sustainability Scholarship is designed to identify students who have shown leadership and dedication to environmental causes. Applicants must submit the following materials:
1# Educator Recommendation: A letter from a teacher or educator who can attest to the applicant’s commitment and achievements in the field of sustainability and environmental protection.
2# Essay Response (500-800 words): Applicants must write an essay addressing the following prompt: “Picture a world where your choices have an impact on the health of our planet. Write about some practical steps that students can take to champion sustainability and protect the environment. Explore how these actions can make a difference in combating climate change and preserving Earth’s resources for generations to come. Consider how individual efforts can inspire larger societal changes towards a greener, more sustainable future.”
3# Media Submission: Include pictures, videos, or any other media showcasing the applicant’s leadership and involvement in sustainability efforts.
4# Headshot: A color headshot suitable for website posting.
5# Academic Resume: A detailed resume highlighting the applicant’s academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and any relevant experience in sustainability.
6# Current Transcript: An official or unofficial transcript reflecting the applicant’s academic performance.
