Who Is Eligible?

To be considered, you must:

  • Be a new international student (not currently enrolled at Otago Polytechnic)
  • Begin full-time studies in 2026 (between 45–60 credits per semester)
  • Be from a partner institution abroad with a Study Abroad agreement
  • Have met all entry requirements for your chosen programme
  • Remain a full-time international student throughout the scholarship period

⚠️ If you defer your studies to 2027 or reduce your enrolment to part-time, the scholarship will be withdrawn.

Terms New Applicants Should Know

  • The scholarship only applies to the first year of study for multi-year programmes.
  • It cannot be taken as cash and is not transferable.
  • If you fail and repeat any course, you will need to pay the full tuition for that course.
  • If you withdraw, Otago Polytechnic’s refund policy will apply.
