MPI Research Internships: Dive Deep into Migration Policy

MPI Europe is on the lookout for outstanding candidates for two full-time, in-person internships in Brussels starting in September. These six-month internships offer a unique opportunity to delve into the intricacies of EU migration and asylum systems, labor migration, and immigrant integration. You’ll work closely with experts in these fields and have the chance to collaborate directly with policy analysts and senior management.

    • Supporting the MPI Europe team, including senior management
    • Contributing to overall research efforts
    • Drafting papers and preparing literature summaries
    • Assisting in publication dissemination
    • Providing administrative support for events
    • Attending and summarizing relevant public and private events

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (Master’s or PhD candidates)
    • Demonstrated interest in migration, asylum, or integration
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in languages other than English
    • Experience with Microsoft Access
    • Experience with quantitative, qualitative, or policy research

Details, Salary, and Conditions:

    • Location: Rue de la Loi, 155 – 1040 – Etterbeek
    • Schedule: 38 hours per week, potential for telework twice a week after two months
    • Compensation: €1310.15 per month, plus lunch vouchers worth €8 per workday
