Program Highlights
The PhD program at IOCB is structured to ensure a stimulating academic and research environment. Applicants can explore projects across three main clusters:
- CHEM: Organic and Medicinal Chemistry
- BIO: Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, and Molecular Biology
- PHYS: Analytical, Physical, and Computational Chemistry
Students can select up to three projects within or across clusters, although sticking to one cluster is recommended for clarity and focus.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you need:
- An MSc degree or equivalent in life sciences, chemistry, or a related field.
- A CV, a cover letter, and academic transcripts (BSc and MSc).
Application Process
- Explore Projects: Review the list of available PhD projects and choose up to three.
- Prepare Documents: Ensure you have your CV, cover letter, and transcripts ready.

- Interview Day: Shortlisted candidates will attend face-to-face interviews at IOCB on 20 March 2025.
- Results Notification: Final results will be shared with applicants by 4 April 2025.
- University Enrollment: Successful candidates must enroll in a partner university as specified by their project supervisor.
