Postgrads Scholarships 2026 Spring intake at Northumbria University
Northumbria University has officially opened applications for the 2026 Postgraduate UK International Scholarships, welcoming international students with a generous £3,000 tuition fee discount for eligible postgraduate taught (PGT) programs starting in January 2026.
This exciting opportunity, known as the Northumbria UK International Scholarship, is automatically awarded to qualifying students and aims to support overseas and EU students pursuing full-time master’s degrees at the university’s Newcastle Upon Tyne campus.
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the £3,000 scholarship:
- Applicants must be international students with ‘Overseas’ or ‘EU’ fee status.
- They must currently be completing a UK-based Level 6 undergraduate degree.
- Students must be self-funded and not in receipt of any other sponsorship or scholarship.
- Admission must be secured on a full-time postgraduate taught program starting either in January 2026.
Important Exclusions
Certain programs are not eligible for this scholarship, including:
- Any Advanced Practice or Study Abroad Masters courses
- MSc in Physiotherapy or Midwifery Studies
- MSc in Nursing Science (all specializations)
- MA in Social Work
- Bar and LLM-related legal qualifications
Moreover, current Northumbria undergraduate students are excluded but may apply for Alumni Discounts. The offer is exclusive to students enrolled at the Newcastle campus only and is non-transferable.
Key Conditions
- It cannot be combined with other scholarships or discounts.
- If a student defers their admission, the scholarship is revoked.
- Students transferring from advanced or study abroad versions of programs after four weeks are ineligible.
- Final decisions rest solely with the University and cannot be appealed.
