Qatar Airways University Scholarship Programme 2026
Qatar Airways has announced its University Scholarship Programme, a fully funded opportunity designed to support ambitious students from Qatar and children of Qatari mothers. This competitive programme not only covers undergraduate studies both inside and outside the State of Qatar but also offers graduates a fast-track career entry through the airline’s Graduate Development Programme.
What Makes This Scholarship Unique?
Unlike many funding opportunities, the Qatar Airways University Scholarship Programme is more than financial support—it’s a career pathway. Students benefit from:
- Full Tuition Coverage – All tuition fees are paid in full by Qatar Airways.
- Monthly Stipend & Living Allowance – To ensure students can focus entirely on their studies without financial stress.
- Comprehensive Health Insurance – Covering essential medical needs during the course of study.
- Travel Expenses – Paid airfare to the country of study for those studying abroad.
- Guaranteed Career Path – Graduates join Qatar Airways directly after their degree, beginning their careers in one of the world’s most prestigious aviation companies.
Who Can Apply?
The programme is specifically open to:
- Qatari nationals, and
- Students whose mother is a Qatari national (with conditions that all previous education stages were completed in Qatar).
Applicants must:
- Be 17–24 years old at the time of application.
- Have graduated from high school within the last three years.
- Achieve a minimum of 85% (Qatari students) or 90% (Qatari-mother students) in high school exams.
- Provide a valid IELTS score:
- 5.5 overall for Qatari nationals (not less than 5.0 per component).
- 6.0 overall for Qatari-mother students (not less than 5.0 per component).
- Present unconditional admission to a recognized university in Qatar, the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, or Australia, in an approved field of study.
Application Process
The application involves a two-stage selection process:
- Initial Shortlisting – Applications are reviewed, and shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews and assessments.
- Final Selection – Successful students undergo medical tests, provide clearance certificates, and sign a scholarship agreement alongside a Qatari guarantor.
Once accepted, the scholarship contract requires graduates to work at Qatar Airways for a minimum of five years, ensuring a seamless transition from education to career.
