What You’ll Receive?
The QUTPRA isn’t your average scholarship. It’s a powerhouse of benefits for passionate researchers:
- Annual Living Stipend: AUD $37,010 per year (from January 2026), paid fortnightly, tax-free.
- Tuition Fee Sponsorship: Covers 100% of your tuition fees for:
- Up to 4 years for a PhD, or
- Up to 2 years for a Master of Philosophy (MPhil).
- Health Insurance: Single Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for eligible international students.
- Scholarship Duration:
- 3.5 years for PhD (with a possible 6-month extension)
- 1.75 years for MPhil (with a possible 3-month extension).
Who Can Apply?
This opportunity is open to:
- Future and current QUT research students
- Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, and international students
To be eligible:
- You must meet QUT’s academic and English language requirements.
- You must not already be receiving a living stipend for research.
- You must enroll full-time as an internal student (unless granted approval otherwise).
For current QUT students, you must have:
- Less than 1 year of full-time equivalent study (PhD)
- Less than 6 months (MPhil).
