  • Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP): Students must meet SAP requirements as defined by the university.
  • Credit Hour Benchmarks: Recipients need to meet the 30/60/90-hour rule—completing 30 credit hours by the end of their first year, 60 by their second, and 90 by their third.
  • Program Participation: Continued participation in the Regents’ Scholars Program through the Routh First-Generation Center is required, ensuring students have access to mentorship and guidance tailored to first-generation needs.

Application Process and Deadlines

Texas A&M’s Regents’ Scholarship does not require a separate application. Interested students need only complete their FAFSA or TASFA by February 15, 2025 for priority processing, with all financial aid documents verified by May 1, 2025. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, so early submission is highly recommended due to the program’s competitive nature. The university offers approximately 850 Regents’ Scholarships each year.

For admission to Texas A&M, applicants should submit the Common Application by December 1, 2024 to ensure eligibility for the fall intake as per this call letter: https://aggie.tamu.edu/financial-aid/types-of-aid/scholarships/undergraduate-scholarships/regents-scholars-program.
