Who Can Apply? | Eligibility Checklist
- Citizenship: You must be a citizen of the People’s Republic of China.
- Age: Either Aged 18–23 on 1 October 2025 (born after 1 October 2001 and before 2 October 2007), OR under 27 and completed your first degree on/after 1 October 2024
- Education: Hold or will complete an undergraduate degree by July 2026 with strong academic record (First Class Honours / GPA 3.70+)
- English Proficiency: Must meet Oxford’s higher-level language requirement with IELTS/TOEFL scores.

The application for the Rhodes Scholarship for China 2026 opens at 00:01 China Standard Time on 2 June 2025 and closes at 23:59 China Standard Time on 18 August 2025. All required documents, including references, must also be submitted by 23:59 China Standard Time on 18 August 2025.
Preliminary video interviews will take place during August and September 2025, followed by final in-person interviews and a social engagement event in late October 2025, held in either Shanghai or Hong Kong. All applicants will be notified of their application outcome by December 2025, and successful scholars will begin their studies at the University of Oxford in October 2026.
