Where Is It Offered?

The Saïd Foundation Scholarships are designed for students from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine to pursue master’s degrees at top UK universities. The program specifically prioritizes applicants who plan to return home and contribute to their country’s development.


What Does the Funding Package Cover?

The Saïd Foundation offers a comprehensive scholarship package that typically includes:

  • Full tuition fees at a partner UK university
  • Living expenses for the duration of the program
  • Return airfare to the UK
  • Visa costs and allowances for arrival and departure
  • Academic and pastoral support throughout your stay

The Saïd Foundation works with a wide range of UK partner universities, and candidates must apply to an eligible course at one of them.


Who Can Apply?

To be considered for the scholarship, you must:

  • Hold Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese, or Palestinian nationality and be currently residing in one of those countries
    (Note: Syrians living outside Syria may also be eligible due to ongoing conflict)
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree equivalent to at least a UK 2:1 (or be in your final year)
  • Have relevant work or volunteer experience in your proposed field of study
  • Demonstrate leadership potential and a clear commitment to positive social impact
  • Apply for an eligible course at a Saïd Foundation partner university
  • Meet the Foundation’s English language requirements.

English Language Requirement

You must submit a valid English test result dated after October 1, 2024, at the time of application. Acceptable tests and minimum scores are:

  • IELTS Academic: Overall 6.0, with 6.0 in each band
  • Duolingo English Test: Overall 105, with 105 in each band
  • TOEFL iBT: Overall 80, with at least 20 in each band

Screenshots are not accepted — only official certificates are valid.


Reference Requirements

All applicants must submit three signed reference letters (uploaded before submission deadline):

  1. Academic Reference – From a professor who taught you
  2. Professional Reference – From a current or former employer
  3. Voluntary/Community Reference – From someone familiar with your unpaid work

Each reference must:

  • Be written in English
  • Be specific to the Saïd Foundation application
  • Include the referee’s contact details
  • Be on official letterhead and signed

Applications with fewer than three unique references will not be considered.

The last date to apply for the Saïd Foundation Scholarship 2026–2027 is 5:00 PM (UK time) on Friday, 31 October 2025. Applications must be submitted online through the official Saïd Foundation portal here https://saidfoundation.org/apply/.
