The University of Sheffield in the UK has opened applications for the Siddall Sheffield Scholarship 2026, a golden opportunity for academically strong US students aiming to pursue a one-year full-time Master’s degree in Engineering.
What’s on Offer?
This prestigious scholarship is funded by Dr Graham and Mrs Brenda Siddall, long-time supporters of academic and scientific advancement. It offers:
- Full tuition fee coverage for any eligible Engineering Master’s program at the University of Sheffield.
- A generous living stipend of £18,000, paid in four instalments throughout the academic year.
- The total value of the scholarship comes to around £50,000.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the Siddall Sheffield Scholarship 2026:
- You must be a US citizen who has studied in the US and not lived in the UK before.
- You must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field by the time of departure to the UK.
- Your GPA should preferably be 3.7 or higher.
- You must apply and be accepted into a one-year full-time Master’s program in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
What Are They Looking For?
Your application will be judged based on:
- Academic Excellence (50%) – Strong GPA and proven technical abilities.
- Research Potential (25%) – A clear and impactful 500-word proposal in your chosen engineering area.
- Civic Engagement (25%) – A 500-word essay on how you’ve contributed to your local community and how you plan to bring that same energy to Sheffield.
