What Are the Siena International Excellence Scholarships?
The University of Siena is offering four prestigious scholarships, each valued at €5,000.00 annually, for the academic year 2024/2025. These scholarships are renewable for a second year, providing a total of €10,000.00 over two years. This financial support aims to recognize the academic excellence of international students and encourage their participation in designated Master’s degree programs.
Who Can Apply?
If you hold non-Italian citizenship and have obtained your entry qualifications from institutions outside Italy, you are eligible to apply. However, there are a few requirements to keep in mind:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree that qualifies for admission to Master’s degree programs within the Italian University system.
- Not hold Italian citizenship, except for those with dual citizenship that includes Italian.
- Not be a resident of Italy, as defined by specific residency criteria outlined in the application guidelines.
Which Courses Are Eligible?
The scholarships are available for Master’s degree programs conducted entirely in English across four distinct areas:
- Economics and Law
- Political, International, Social, and Cognitive Sciences
- Biomedical and Medical Sciences
- Math and Experimental Sciences
Each area includes a selection of programs designed to cater to a wide range of academic interests and career aspirations.
How to Apply?
The application process is straightforward but requires attention to detail:
- Apply for admission to at least one of the eligible Master’s degree programs through the university’s application portal.
- Submit the scholarship application through the same portal, ensuring that it is completed using the same account used for the course admission application.
- Pay a non-refundable fee of €10 for the scholarship application, following the provided payment instructions.
- Provide a short self-made video explaining your motivations for applying (no longer than 1 minute), along with the names of the Master’s degree program(s) you are interested in.
- Submit your application with all required documents.
