Simmons University proudly announces the opening of applications for the 2025 batch of the Simmons Distinguished Scholar Award. The Simmons Distinguished Scholar Award is an elite merit-based scholarship that supports outstanding students throughout their four-year undergraduate journey at Simmons University. As a celebration of academic excellence and community service, the scholarship covers full tuition for the duration of the undergraduate program, replacing any prior merit awards.

Who Should Apply?

The scholarship is open to first-year students starting in the fall semester who demonstrate remarkable academic prowess, community involvement, and an impassioned commitment to their fields of study. Eligibility criteria include:

  • A minimum GPA of 3.50 in high school.
  • Completion of college preparatory courses, including AP or IB classes.
  • Proficiency in English for non-native speakers.
  • Optional standardized test scores of 28+ on the ACT or 1300+ on the SAT.
  • Demonstrated leadership and active participation in community service.

This award also aligns with the interests of students aiming for the Honors Program at Simmons, offering a pathway to further recognition and academic distinction.

Application Process

To apply for the Simmons Distinguished Scholar Award, candidates must submit a formal essay and a detailed resume.
