SIU and SIU-PAUSA Training Scholarships 2025
If you’re a young urologist from a developing country with dreams of expanding your skills and knowledge in globally recognized medical training centers, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
The Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU) has officially opened applications for its 2025 Training Scholarship Programmes, including the SIU-PAUSA Training Scholarship—designed specifically for African urologists. These programs are tailored to offer hands-on and observational training experiences in SIU-accredited centers across the world.
What’s on Offer?
There are two main training opportunities available under the SIU umbrella:
1# SIU Training Scholarship (Global Applicants)

- For urologists who have earned their M.D. degree within the last 10 years.
- Offers a 3-month or 6-month placement in an SIU-accredited training center.
- $2,500 USD for 3-month programmes.
- $5,000 USD for 6-month programmes.
- Scholars can choose to:
- Train within their geographic region.
- Join as an observational scholar in an approved center abroad.
2# SIU-PAUSA Training Scholarship (Exclusive to African Urologists)

- For African urologists within 10 years of earning their M.D. degree.
- Includes a 6-month training placement in a non-African SIU-accredited center.
- One scholarship of $5,000 USD will be awarded annually under this initiative.
What Do You Need to Apply?

- Completed SIU Scholarship Application Form.
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae.
- A high-resolution headshot photo (JPEG or PNG).
- A personal statement (500–1000 words) outlining:

- Expected outcomes from the scholarship.
- Future plans post-training.
- A Letter of Acceptance from the host training institution.
- At least one letter of recommendation from a department head or mentor.
- A completed and signed checklist.
