Southwest University (SWU) President Scholarships 2025 for Undergrad, Master and PhD Disciplines

Southwest University (SWU) has officially announced the 2025-2026 Chinese Government president scholarship, offering international students a prestigious opportunity to pursue master’s and PhD degrees in China. This highly competitive program follows the principle of “individual application, institutional recommendation, expert assessment, and merit-based selection.”

SWU-President Scholarship 2025 Benefits

Selected students will receive the following financial support:

  • Full tuition waiver
  • Free on-campus accommodation
  • Monthly stipend:
    • Master’s students: 3,000 CNY/month
    • PhD students: 3,500 CNY/month
  • Comprehensive medical insurance.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a non-Chinese citizen and in good physical and mental health.
  • Master’s program applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
  • PhD program applicants must hold a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
  • Language proficiency:
    • Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 5.
    • English-taught programs:
      • Master’s: TOEFL 80 / IELTS 6.0
      • PhD: TOEFL 85 / IELTS 6.5
  • Academic performance: A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or 80/100.
