St John’s College Research Fellowship 2026 at University of Cambridge

Foreign early-career researchers and fresh PhD graduates, your moment has arrived! The prestigious St John’s College Research Fellowship 2026 competition is now open, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pursue independent postdoctoral research in one of the most intellectually vibrant environments in the world—St John’s College, University of Cambridge.

Up to four (04) Research Fellowships will be awarded this round. These positions come with an attractive funding package, an interdisciplinary scholarly community, and deep engagement in the College’s academic, social, and cultural life.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants of any nationality who meet the following criteria are eligible:

  • PhD submitted after 1 October 2024 OR
  • On track to submit PhD by 1 October 2026

This year, applications are invited for all STEM subjects and the following arts/humanities disciplines:
Anthropology, Architecture, Modern and Medieval Languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese), Classics, Education, History, History and Philosophy of Science, History of Art, Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion, Land Economy, and Philosophy.
