Eligibility Requirements for Taiwan Scholarship 2026

To qualify for the Taiwan Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet clear nationality, academic, and study-related conditions set by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education. Since this is a highly competitive scholarship opportunity for Turkish students, candidates should carefully confirm that they fulfill all eligibility standards before submitting their application.

Applicants are eligible to apply if they are Turkish nationals with an excellent academic background, hold at least a secondary school graduation diploma or a post-secondary degree, and demonstrate strong moral character and motivation to study in Taiwan. The scholarship also requires minimum academic performance, where undergraduate applicants must have a GPA above 3.0, while master’s and doctoral applicants must have a GPA above 3.5 under the 4.5 grading scale.

However, certain candidates are not permitted to apply for the Taiwan Scholarship 2026. This includes applicants who are Taiwanese nationals or overseas Taiwanese students, those already studying or registered at a university in Taiwan, individuals who have previously held the Taiwan Scholarship for a total of five years, or anyone who has ever had a Taiwan Scholarship revoked. Applicants are also ineligible if they are receiving another Taiwan government scholarship or subsidy at the same time, as the program is intended for new, fully supported international degree seekers.
