Fully-funded Scholarships 2026-2027 (International Students)

The Difference Undergraduate Scholarship 2026 Announced at UEA

The University of East Anglia (UEA) has officially opened applications for its prestigious Difference Undergraduate Scholarship for the September 2026 intake. This opportunity is designed to provide life-changing support to talented UK students who are facing financial barriers to higher education.

What Makes This Scholarship Special?

The Difference Undergraduate Scholarship offers a total value of £15,000, paid as £5,000 annually over three years. Successful applicants can choose whether to receive the funding as a maintenance grant to support living costs or as a contribution toward tuition fees.

This award is more than just financial aid—it recognizes academic potential, passion for the chosen subject, and the ability to contribute to university life. Preference is given to first-generation university students and those who demonstrate a genuine financial need.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  1. Be UK-domiciled home students with a household income under £30,000 per year.
  2. Hold an offer of admission for an undergraduate degree at UEA starting September 2026.
  3. Meet required academic grades and demonstrate commitment to their subject.
  4. Have UEA as their first choice of study.
  5. Not be in receipt of another scholarship, bursary, or external funding.

The scholarship is open across all Schools and Faculties, including Biological Sciences, Computing, Medicine, Humanities, Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Business, Law, Music, Psychology, and more—making it an inclusive opportunity for diverse disciplines.

The Dates You Can’t Miss for Next Batch

Applications for the Difference Undergraduate Scholarship close on Friday, 1st May 2026. An application form is required for consideration.

Why This Matters?

For students from low-income households, this award could cover living expenses, reduce financial pressure, and open doors to a brighter academic future. With only a handful of scholarships available, competition will be strong—students are encouraged to apply early and submit a compelling application that highlights both academic excellence and personal resilience.
