Toloa Scholarships 2025 in New Zealand for Pacific Students in STEM

Whether you’re in secondary school or pursuing tertiary education, these scholarships provide financial assistance and encourage Pacific students to excel in STEM fields.
What Are the Toloa Scholarships?
The Toloa Scholarships are designed to nurture Pacific talent and inspire students to embrace STEM learning. These scholarships are available for both secondary and tertiary students, alongside a community fund to promote STEM engagement across Pacific communities.
Funding Sponsorship Package Includes
For Secondary Students: Successful applicants will receive $1,000 (excluding GST) to cover:

- School fees
- Uniforms
- Stationery
- STEM school trips
- STEM programmes or courses organised by their school.
For Tertiary Students: Eligible tertiary students pursuing STEM courses can receive up to $10,000 for one year of full-time study. The funding may be used for:

- Tuition fees
- Compulsory course-related costs
- Accommodation expenses for university halls
- Research or fieldwork expenses (for PhD students).
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility for Secondary Students
To qualify, you must:

- Show a genuine commitment to Pacific culture, languages, identities, and communities
- Be enrolled in a New Zealand secondary school, alternative education, or verified home school in 2025
- Be studying at least two STEM subjects (Years 9/10) or three STEM subjects (Years 11–13) in 2025
- Provide academic results and school reports from the 2024 academic year
Eligibility for Tertiary Students
To qualify, you must:

- Show a genuine commitment to Pacific culture, languages, identities, and communities
- Be enrolled full-time in a STEM-related programme in 2025 and provide proof of enrolment.
