UAEU PhD Scholarships 2025 for All Nationalities

UAEU Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Full tuition fee waiver
  • Monthly stipend
  • Health insurance (if needed)
  • Additional Bonus:
    • Up to AED 3,000 from supervisor’s external research project, OR
    • Up to AED 2,000 from supervisor’s internal research project

Applicants must have a dissertation aligned with one of the UAE’s national priority sectors:

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • Minimum GPA: 3.5/4.0 in your Master’s degree
    • No employment or financial sponsorship elsewhere
    • PhD dissertation must focus on one of the UAE priority sectors
    • Meet general PhD admission requirements (detailed below)

Admission Requirements for PhD Programs

To be considered for PhD admission at UAEU, you must:

    1. Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
    2. Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0
    3. Provide an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 (or equivalent)*
    4. Submit all required documents listed below

* Exceptions apply for native English speakers or those who earned their Master’s from an English-medium institution with proof of IELTS 6.0 at the time of admission.

    • Certified copies of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees
    • Certified academic transcripts
    • Equivalency certificate from UAE Ministry of Education
    • English proficiency certificate (IELTS/TOEFL)
    • Arabic proficiency certificate (if applicable)
    • Two Letters of Recommendation
    • CV (Curriculum Vitae)
    • Copy of Passport, ID, and Personal Photo
    • Family Book (UAE Nationals only).
