UCL Bartlett Promise Master’s Scholarship 2026 Open

The University College London (UCL) is once again breaking barriers in higher education with The Bartlett Promise Master’s Scholarship 2026 — a fully funded opportunity designed to empower students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue postgraduate studies at The Bartlett, UCL’s world-renowned Faculty of the Built Environment.

About the Scholarship

This transformative scholarship offers full tuition coverage plus a £17,096 living and study allowance for the standard duration of your master’s program. It doesn’t stop there — scholars also receive ongoing academic, professional, and career development support throughout their studies.

Up to 10 scholarships will be awarded for the September 2026 intake, with an additional 3 scholarships supported through the Aziz Foundation for candidates who identify as British Muslims or work to uplift British Muslim communities.

Who Can Apply?

This scholarship specifically supports students or forced migrants (as defined by UCL) who:

  • Have received an offer to a Bartlett master’s program for the 2026–27 academic year.
  • Have not previously completed a master’s or PhD at UCL or any other institution.

For the Bartlett Promise – Aziz Foundation Scholarships, candidates must:

  • Identify as a British Muslim and/or
  • Work to support British Muslim communities.

Additionally, applicants must meet at least one of the following:

  • Come from a low-income household (less than £42,875).
  • Be from a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic background.
  • Have a disability or be from a Gypsy, Roma, or Traveller community.
  • Be a care leaver, have care responsibilities, or be first-generation in their family to attend university.

Selection Process

Applications will be assessed holistically — considering personal, educational, and financial circumstances. Shortlisted candidates will participate in a one-on-one dialogue with the Windsor Fellowship, which collaborates with The Bartlett to ensure fairness and transparency throughout the process.

How to Apply?

To secure this prestigious scholarship, you’ll need to follow these essential steps:

  1. Plan Ahead – Carefully review all eligibility requirements and FAQs available on The Bartlett Promise page.
  2. Choose Your Course – Explore The Bartlett’s nine schools and select your desired master’s program in the built environment.
  3. Apply for Admission – Applications for Bartlett master’s courses open in October 2025. You must apply early and receive an offer by 31 May 2026.
  4. Apply for the Scholarship – Once you have your offer letter, you can submit your Bartlett Promise Scholarship application. The scholarship application portal opens on 1 March 2026.

Applications for The Bartlett master’s programs will officially open in October 2025, giving students ample time to prepare their documents and apply early. The Bartlett Promise Scholarship application portal will open on 1 March 2026, allowing eligible candidates to submit their scholarship applications once they have received an offer of admission.

To qualify, applicants must secure an offer to a Bartlett master’s course by 31 May 2026, which also marks the final deadline for scholarship submissions. Successful scholars will then begin their transformative academic journey at University College London (UCL) in September 2026.
