Are you a Black/African American student passionate about science, technology, engineering, or mathematics? The UNCF/Teradyne STEM Scholarship Program is calling for rising juniors and seniors to apply for a chance to secure up to $5,000 in scholarship funds for the 2024-25 academic year. This initiative, a collaboration between Teradyne—a leader in automatic test equipment design and manufacturing—and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), aims to support students with unmet financial needs in pursuing their dreams in STEM fields.

Who is Eligible?

To apply, you must:

  • Be Black/African American.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate unmet financial need.
  • Be a college sophomore or junior at the time of application and enrolled full-time as a college junior or senior in the 2024-25 academic year, majoring in a STEM field.
  • Attend a UNCF Member Institution or another accredited four-year HBCU.

  • An essay responding to “Why are you interested in pursuing a career in STEM?”
  • An academic recommendation from a non-familial professor, was submitted through the UNCF online application system.
