Scholarship Benefits and Duration

Recipients of the ThinkSwiss Scholarship will receive a monthly stipend of CHF 1,800 (approximately USD 1,800) to support living costs for 2-3 months, with a total funding cap of CHF 5,400. While you can access additional funding, it should not interfere with your scheduled research stay.

Who Can Apply?

This program seeks enthusiastic, eligible candidates to contribute to Swiss-U.S./Canadian institutional exchange. To apply, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university/college.
  • Be a graduate student or an undergraduate who has completed their sophomore year.
  • Secure written confirmation from a professor at a Swiss university who agrees to host your research stay.
  • Adhere to duration and recognition guidelines if researching at ETH Zurich.

Plan Your Stay:

  • Research stays may take place between May 1, 2025, and December 1, 2025.
  • Most students prefer scheduling their research during the summer months.
