University College London GREAT Scholarship 2026 Open

The UK’s postgraduate scholarship season for 2026 is officially heating up—and University College London (UCL) has just opened one of the most competitive and high-impact funding opportunities for international students. The UCL–GREAT Scholarships 2026, backed jointly by University College London and the British Council, are now live for outstanding Master’s applicants who are planning to study in the UK next year.

If a world-ranked UK degree has been on your radar—but funding has been the main barrier—this is a moment worth acting on.

What This Scholarship Brings to the Table?

Designed to ease the financial pressure of studying at a global top university, this award offers a solid tuition fee reduction for one full academic year.

  • £10,000 tuition fee support for the first year of study
  • Applicable to full-time, on-campus postgraduate taught (Master’s) programmes
  • Scholarship amount is directly deducted from tuition fees
  • Selection is based on academic excellence and demonstrated financial need

This funding cannot be combined silently—recipients must formally declare any additional funding to UCL’s Student Funding Office.

Who Can Compete for This Award?

This scholarship is highly targeted, so eligibility matters. Here’s who UCL is looking for:

  • Applicants with Overseas fee status
  • Applicants to any full-time Master’s degree across any UCL faculty
  • You must already hold an offer (conditional or unconditional) for a UCL Master’s programme by the scholarship deadline
  • Strong academic background with clear financial need
  • Distance learning and modular/flexible courses are not eligible.

Application Route

The process is straightforward but time-sensitive. First, apply for your chosen Master’s programme at UCL and secure an offer. Once you have that offer in hand, proceed to apply for the scholarship through UCL’s International Master’s Awards application route. Make sure your academic profile and financial context are clearly presented, as shortlisted candidates will later be asked to submit formal evidence of financial need.

Final scholarship decisions will be released in early July 2026, giving successful candidates ample time to plan their UK move.
