Eligibility Criteria

This opportunity is open to motivated candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., sociology, economics, public administration, political science, history).
  • Have a strong research plan that aligns with the Centre for Consumer Society Research.
  • Demonstrate fluency in English.
  • Show proven ability and motivation for doctoral studies through academic achievements or work experience.
  • Commit to full-time research work with up to 5% of teaching responsibilities.
  • Must apply for and obtain the right to a doctoral degree at the University of Helsinki within six months of employment.
  • Must reside in Finland during the research period (relocation assistance provided by the Faculty of Social Sciences).
