University of New Haven (UNH) Scholarships 2027 Admissions Open

Planning a master’s in the United States for Spring 2027? The University of New Haven’s graduate application portal is active, and its standing spring funding rules offer international applicants a route to tuition support. However, the public pages do not separately announce a 2027 scholarship call: confirm your programme’s Spring 2027 availability before paying the application fee.

New Haven: One Admission Application, Two Funding Routes
Status: Graduate portal active; 2027-specific call unconfirmed.
Who qualifies: New full-time domestic and international master’s applicants.
Funding: Provost’s: 75% tuition assistance plus hourly wages; Dean’s: up to 50% tuition assistance.
English: IELTS 6.0 for engineering; generally 6.5 elsewhere, with accepted alternatives.
Application fee: US$50; waived for current New Haven students and alumni.
Timing: International spring admission priority: 15 October; funding dates require confirmation.
Official information checked: 2 October 2026.

What would New Haven’s funding actually pay?

These awards reduce tuition; neither guarantees all your study costs. The competitive Provost’s Assistantship combines 75% tuition assistance with paid research or teaching work, typically 15–20 hours weekly. The Dean’s Scholarship provides up to 50% tuition assistance based on academic merit. Budget for remaining tuition, accommodation, insurance and living expenses.

Can your degree and English results qualify?

You need to meet your chosen master’s admission requirements and study full-time. These two awards are specifically for master’s students; undergraduate and doctoral funding follows separate rules. Check spring availability: programmes including Forensic Science and Forensic Technology admit only in fall.

Engineering applicants can generally use IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 75, PTE 50 or Duolingo 105. Other colleges generally require IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 80, PTE 53 or Duolingo 105. Conditional English admission exists for some programmes, but does not itself secure an I-20.

How do you submit New Haven’s scholarship application?

Complete your admission application to receive automatic funding consideration.

  1. Confirm your intake: Check programme requirements and ask [email protected] whether Spring 2027 entry and funding consideration are available.
  2. Create your account: Use the New Haven Graduate Application. Applicants may apply to only one programme per semester.
  3. Prepare your file: Follow the official application checklist: transcripts, bachelor’s completion evidence, two recommendations, statement of purpose, CV and required English results. Check programme-specific additions.
  4. Submit and complete: Pay the fee, monitor outstanding documents and arrange official records. Submission alone does not mean your file is complete.
  5. Confirm funding: Review the award rules and obtain your admission and funding decisions before committing financially.

Which deadline should Spring 2027 applicants follow?

Aim for 15 October 2026, applying New Haven’s standing international spring admission priority to Spring 2027. The Provost’s second priority is 1 November, 2026.
