Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, you must:

  • Achieve a minimum ATAR of 99.90 (or equivalent).
  • Complete Year 12 in 2024 or 2023 (if you’re on a gap year).

Additionally, you must be either:

  • An Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder; or
  • An Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or international student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia.

Other criteria include:

  • Not having completed any previous tertiary study other than as part of your Year 11–12 studies (e.g., Enhanced Studies Program).
  • Having applied for a tertiary place through QTAC with UQ listed as your first QTAC preference.
  • Intending to enroll as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate program in 2025 (or 2026 if deferring your tertiary place).

How to Apply?

Applying for the UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is straightforward. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the UQ Application Portal: Start your application and save it as you progress.
  2. Prepare Your Documents: You will need your QTAC Application number and evidence of your most outstanding achievements from Years 11 and 12 in leadership and community service.

What Happens Next? After submitting your application, UQ will acknowledge receipt via email.
