University of Southern Queensland Scholarship for International Research 2025

The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is offering an exciting opportunity for international students through the International PhD Stipend and Fee Scholarship (DPHD). This prestigious scholarship supports international students pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2025, aligning with UniSQ’s flagship research areas. This scholarship offers financial assistance for tuition fees and living expenses while students contribute to world-class research initiatives.

Benefits

  • Stipend: AUD $35,000 per annum for living costs.
  • Tuition Fees: Covered for up to three years of full-time study (any prior study time towards the PhD will be deducted from this period).
  • Industry Internship: Minimum of 60 days for students in the Industry Stream.
  • Additional Support: Scholarships are also available for women in STEMĀ and students with disabilities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours or an equivalent qualification.
  • Be eligible for full-time, on-campus enrollment in the UniSQ PhD program.
  • Be an international student (not a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand).
  • Commence or continue their PhD studies in 2025.

  • Supervisor Support Letter.
  • Curriculum Vitae (including research publications and presentations).
  • Preliminary Research Thesis Topic Proposal.
  • Proof of Citizenship.
  • Statement of Claim addressing the selection criteria.
  • Education Qualifications (testamur and transcripts for all degrees).

For the Industry Stream, a Letter of Support from the industry partner must be submitted. Continuing students must be within 18 months of commencing their studies full-time (or 36 months part-time) by December 2024 to be eligible.
