University of Sydney RTP Scholarship 2025 Announced

The University of Sydney is inviting applications for the 2025 Research Training Program (RTP) scholarships. This prestigious scholarship provides comprehensive support for domestic and international students pursuing higher degree research (HDR) programs.

Benefits of the RTP Scholarship

• Annual Stipend: $41,753 per annum (2025 rate), indexed annually.
• Relocation Allowance: Up to $1,485 for travel expenses from the home country to Sydney at the start of the degree and an additional $1,485 for return travel after successful completion.
• Thesis Allowance: Up to $420 for master’s and $840 for doctoral candidates for eligible thesis production costs.
• Paid Leave: Includes up to 20 working days of recreation leave and 10 working days of sick leave per year, with provisions for extended paid sick and parental leave.

Eligibility Criteria

• Who Can Apply: Both domestic and international students enrolled in or commencing HDR programs.
• Requirements:
  • Outstanding academic record and research potential.
  • Full-time enrollment (part-time enrollment may be approved under special circumstances).
• Additional Notes:
  • Applicants must not have previously completed an HDR course at the same level or received an Australian Government or University scholarship for an HDR course at the same level.
