The University of Trento (UniTrento) has officially launched its admissions campaign for the 2026/2027 academic year, with the first calls for undergraduate and single-cycle degree programmes now published online.

This means international applicants can finally begin planning their next move — and in Italy, applying early often makes all the difference.

Admissions Calls Published for Undergraduate & Single-Cycle Degrees

UniTrento confirmed that the admission calls for most:

  • Bachelor’s degree programmes
  • Single-cycle programmes (long-cycle degrees)

are now available through the university’s official admissions portal.

For foreign students, this is one of the earliest opportunities to secure a place in an Italian public university for the upcoming intake.

Admission Process Based on the TOLC Test

Admissions at the University of Trento are largely based on the TOLC test, a standardized entry exam widely used across Italian universities.

The good news is:

  • The TOLC can be taken online or in person
  • UniTrento also hosts in-person test sessions at the university
  • Students can attempt the test multiple times

And here’s the key advantage:

If you take the test more than once, UniTrento will automatically consider your best score.

So applicants have flexibility and multiple chances to improve their result.

Two Main Admission Sessions for 2026/2027 Intake

UniTrento has organized admissions into two major registration windows, giving international students two clear opportunities to apply.

  • First Admission Session (Now Open): Registrations are currently open and will remain available until 23 March 2026. This is the ideal session for students who want to apply early and secure admission ahead of peak competition.
  • Second Admission Session (Spring Round): A second window will open in April and close on 11 May 2026. This round is perfect for students finalizing documents, test preparation, or deciding on their programme choice.
