UNS Indonesia Scholarship 2025 Inviting Your Applications
If you’re an ambitious international student dreaming of studying in Southeast Asia, the UNS Scholarship 2025 at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) in Indonesia could be your perfect opportunity. Located in the cultural heart of Java, UNS offers a dynamic academic environment, affordable living, and a rich cultural experience.
The UNS Scholarship for 2025 batch aims to attract talented foreign students to pursue undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degrees at one of Indonesia’s leading public universities.
What the UNS Scholarship Covers?
The UNS Scholarship is offered in two categories: Full Scholarship and Partial Scholarship.
The Full Scholarship includes a 100% tuition fee waiver, monthly living allowance (IDR 1,000,000 for bachelor’s, IDR 1,250,000 for master’s, and IDR 1,750,000 for doctoral students), free Indonesian language course, shared student dormitory accommodation, and breakfast meals at the dormitory.
The Partial Scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver and a free Indonesian language course. However, applicants should note that the scholarship does not cover travel expenses, visa fees, health insurance, or other personal expenses. Therefore, students are expected to have financial support from other sources to meet the full cost of living and studying in Indonesia.
While the scholarship is open to applicants for all programs, admission into the Faculty of Medicine or Medical Sciences under this scholarship is extremely limited due to a restricted quota.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must be non-Indonesian citizens and must not hold refugee status. Candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a degree program at UNS and be willing to attend an online video interview.
They should not have any criminal record or history of imprisonment. Applicants must also provide evidence of sufficient financial backing and be prepared to submit all required documents through the online application portal.
Language Requirements
Most degree programs at UNS are taught in Indonesian, so proficiency in the language will be essential. All admitted scholarship recipients are required to complete a free Indonesian language course organized by the UNS Language Centre before beginning their academic program.
In addition, applicants must prove their English language proficiency. A TOEFL score of at least 450 is required for natural sciences, and a minimum of 500 is required for social science programs. Equivalent scores in other academic English tests are also accepted. While an Indonesian language certificate is not mandatory at the time of application, it is strongly recommended.
