Veterinary Student Scholarship 2024

This prestigious program aims to support 40 students globally with scholarships worth USD 5,000 each, totaling an impressive USD 200,000. Scholarship Overview

The WVA and MSD have launched the 2024 Veterinary Student Scholarship Program to support talented veterinary students from regions including Latin America, Africa, North Africa/Middle East, and Asia/Oceania. The scholarship is designed to help these students enrich their educational experience and excel in their field. Each selected student will receive a one-time scholarship of USD $5,000.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the WVA/MSD Veterinary Student Scholarship 2024, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Citizenship or Student Status: You should be a citizen or a student in one of the countries covered by the scholarship program.
  2. Previous Grants: You should not have previously received any WVA/MSD Animal Health scholarship grants.
  3. Enrollment Status: You must be currently enrolled for the academic year 2024-2025 at a recognized veterinary school.
  4. Academic Progress: You should have completed all your first-year exams and be registered in the second or third year of your veterinary program (or later years if your program extends beyond four years).
  5. Year of Study: The scholarship is not open to first-year or final-year students.
  6. International Fund Transfer Capability: You must have a bank account registered in your name and be eligible to receive international funds through the SWIFT system.
  7. Language Requirement: Applications must be submitted in English. Submissions in other languages will not be considered.

Application Review Process

A subgroup of the WVA Working Group on Veterinary Education will review all applications. The evaluation focuses on not only academic achievements but also on your personal story and dedication to veterinary science. Selected students will be publicly announced online, and the profiles of the winners, including their name, image, and region, will be displayed.

Deadline for Application

If you meet the eligibility requirements, ensure your application is complete and submitted by 8th November 2024, 12:00 pm (CET). Late applications will not be considered, so don’t wait until the last minute.
