About the Scholarship

The Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships are offered to 10 international students who demonstrate exceptional academic merit and commitment to their studies. Each award is worth £4,000 and will be applied as a tuition fee reduction for the full duration of the degree program, starting in September 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships, applicants must:

  • Be assessed as international for tuition fee purposes.
  • Hold an offer to begin a full-time undergraduate degree at Newcastle University’s city centre campus for the 2025/26 academic year.
  • Have or expect to achieve a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent.

Unfortunately, students from the following countries are not eligible to apply for this scholarship, as specific schemes are available for these regions:

  • Africa: South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria
  • Asia: China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and others
  • Middle East: Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey
  • Americas: USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Peru
  • Europe: Any European Union member state

Eligible applicants will be evaluated based on academic excellence, commitment to studies, and the quality of their application.
