If you’re an ambitious international student dreaming of studying in one of Australia’s top destinations, here’s exciting news: the Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarship Program 2026 is your ticket to a world-class education in Western Australia—with AUD $50,000 in support!

This prestigious scholarship is now open for Semester 1, 2026 applicants and offers a fantastic opportunity to study at one of five leading universities in the vibrant and multicultural state of Western Australia.

What is the Premier’s University Scholarship Program?

The Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarship Program is an elite merit-based initiative that awards two international students at each of the five participating WA universities a scholarship worth AUD $50,000. The amount is credited as a tuition fee reduction, helping recipients significantly reduce the financial burden of higher education in Australia.

This program is a bold step by the Government of Western Australia to attract the world’s brightest students and future leaders, while also promoting the region as a top-tier destination for international education.

What Does the Scholarship Offer?

Each recipient will receive:

  • AUD $50,000 in scholarship funding, applied directly as a tuition fee discount.
  • The amount is not paid in cash but significantly reduces the overall tuition expenses.
  • The scholarship is non-renewable and applicable to the first year(s) of study depending on the total tuition.

Students can choose from five esteemed institutions in Western Australia:

  1. The University of Western Australia (UWA)
  2. Curtin University
